WOMEN IN CONSTRUCTION | Infrastructure NSW
Who would have thought, that my interest in diversity and workplace culture would manifest itself in a campaign with Infrastructure NSW?
Women in Construction is a campaign focused on women in the build work environment with the key message: "Hard work knows no gender".
We aimed to create key imagery around women in non-traditional roles / functions within the construction industry through this brief; this was meaningful to me as it steps outside of my usual genre of photography and introduced issues I care about in to the work.
These types of productions, where details of posing, safety requirements, representation and shooting on an operational construction site created an environment where many risks and potential pitfalls, it is critical to work with a team that's experienced and specialised. INSW and DO Story brought that to all parts of this assignment.
Shot over a tight production schedule at 2 locations in Sydney; made possible by a well defined brief and detailed production planning, that resulted in an efficient, worry-free and safe shoot.
