Time is so precious these days. If not for having too little of it... it's not to waste it.
A planned location scout for an upcoming brief seemed to be an inefficient use of time, if all that travel was simply to spend a half-day figuring out access, shot locations and logistics. A quick call to George who is at the helm of Royalle Modelling was responded with an enthusiastic "you have got to shoot Hana!". And so we did...
Some back and forth on email to tie up wardrobe, make-up and styling over 3 days was enough to finalise the details that we could simply spend time shooting on-location. Pick-up from Sydney at 8am and we were shooting by 10am at the base of Sea Cliff Bridge / Coal Cliff Ocean Pool.
Hana and I made 4 individual sets typical of a model portfolio session. Some of the images can be seen here: Portfolio Session and over time, they will be posted on my IG profile.
One of the best parts on shooting images for model portfolios is the absence of commercial pressures and the opportunities for creative energies to surface in its purity. And with little time pressure, you get to know the person you are shooting in so much more depth!
